Mili at 5 Months
With her darker colours, she's looking prettier than ever!
2009: Mum's Magic Mili is born
On May 10th 2009, Mother's Day, Mum's Magic Mili was our first horse born at Spring Time Farm.
Our mare Modest Moon gave birth to a healthy and strong filly. Mili is sired by our Stallion
Remo.
2008: Our Black Forest Horse herd moves to its new home in Milton, Ontario.
As part of our continuing effort to promote this great breed, we decided to
move to the heard to Milton, Ontario. This part of Canada has the highest
concentration for horses in Canada and is closer to some of the larger horse
populated areas in the USA.
At the beginning of July visitors from Germany dropped by the ranch.
Black Forest Horse breeder and successful team driver, Bernd Wameling with daughter Johanna from
Steinhagen, Westfalia, were interested in seeing our operation. After a typical German dinner
and Schnaps to follow we had a great time visiting about the horses. Thanks Bernd and Johanna
for dropping in, we enjoyed it very much.

"Hurray, it's a girl, again"
Our new Girl arrived on April 30, 2006 late in the afternoon. Our State Premium Mare
Flamme
gave birth to a healthy, strong and gorgeous Filly. This good looking young Lady is sired by our Stallion
Remo.
Bear Spirit Ranch would like to thank and congratulate Lloyd and Joy Recore
from Wisconsin, USA for their purchase of our 2006 Filly. Now their herd is growing.

Branding of our 2005 Foals
On a beautiful and sunny September day Thomas Frank and his wife Diana arrived from Germany.
As the official representatives from our German Breed Association Thomas and Diana took the necessary
steps for the official registration and to brand our this year's foals. Everything went very well.

May 2005 update on our 2004 Youngsters. "Modest Moon" and "Felicia" are now
yearlings (14 months of age). They have developed into two outstanding Teenagers.

Our State Premium Mare Delia gave
birth to a healthy, strong and gorgeous Filly. This good looking young Lady is sired by our Stallion Remo.
Bear Spirit Ranch would like to thank and congratulate Lloyd and Joy Recore
from Wisconsin, USA for their purchase of our 2005 Filly. They have named her "Distel".
We wish the Recore Family all the best in their future Black Forest Horse endevours and
look forward to working with them.
The first of our 2005 offspring arrived March 12 early in the morning.
Our State Premium Mare Flamme gave
birth to a healthy, strong and amazing Stud Colt
we will name "Madison". "Madison" is sired by the 2005 German National
Champion Mönchberg, and because his dam is a State Premium Mare, we may have our first
Stallion prospect.

Other exciting News from the Black Forest in Germany: Dina's first born
foal "Dunja" was one of ten selected out of 150 State Premium Mares to go to the
National Championships at the "Grüne Woche" in Berlin in January 2005 where
she placed 5th . Congratulations, well done!

On August 30, 2004 7.00 AM State Premium Mare Flamme
and her first born foal "Felicia" sired by Modest arrived from the Black
Forest in Germany at our Ranch in Sundre, Alberta.
After successful quarantine, Flamme joined the broodmare band and Felicia and
Moon have become pasture pals.

Other outstanding News from the Black Forest in Germany: In August 2004 Dina's first
born foal "Dunja" passed her performance test and in the following month she earned
"State Premium" status at the famous "Rossfest" in St. Märgen, Germany.
Dina has proven herself to be an excellent producer of performance and we are proud to
have her as one of our leading broodmares.
Bear Spirit Ranch is proud to announce the
arrival of its newest herd member.
Dina
gave birth to a beautiful filly on March 8th, 2004.
As a young foal, "Modest Moon" (name
pending), has excellent conformation, is quick to learn
and easy to handle. She is quiet, yet inquisitive, and takes
all that is new in her stride.
We look forward to watching this filly
develop her unlimited potential.
